چکیده

A novel collision avoidance algorithm based on the generalized potential model is proposed to solve the path-planning problem of hyper-redundant manipulators in 3D workspace. The approach computes repulsive force and torque between manipulator and obstacles by using the workspace information directly. A collision-free path for a manipulator can then be obtained by locally adjusting the manipulator configuration to search for minimum potential configurations using these forces and torques. The proposed approach is efficient since these potential gradients are analytically tractable. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm is also extended to dual-arm systems. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm works well, in terms of computation time and collision avoidance.

Near-Minimum-Time Motion Planning of Manipulators along Specified Path

The large amount of computation necessary for obtaining time optimal solution for moving a manipulator on specified path has made it impossible to introduce an on line time optimal control algorithm. Most of this computational burden is due to calculation of switching points. In this paper a learning algorithm is proposed for finding the switching points. The method, which can be used for both ...

An evolutionary approach for the motion planning of redundant and hyper-redundant manipulators

The trajectory planning of redundant robots is an important area of research and efficient optimization algorithms are needed. The pseudoinverse control is not repeatable, causing drift in joint space which is undesirable for physical control. This paper presents a new technique that combines the closedloop pseudoinverse method with genetic algorithms, leading to an optimization criterion for r...

PASO: An Integrated, Scalable PSO-based Optimization Framework for Hyper-Redundant Manipulator Path Planning and Inverse Kinematics

Hyper-redundant manipulation is the use of a hyper-DOF robotic system to accomplish tasks such as picking, placing, reaching, and exploring in challenging environments. Hyper-redundant manipulation involves both finding collisionfree configuration-space paths (the path planning (PP) problem) and transforming a given workspace target pose into a configuration space goal (the inverse kinematics (...

Optimum Trajectory Planning for Redundant and Hyper-redundant Manipulators through Inverse Dynamics

This paper presents a method to develop minimum energy trajectories for redundant/hyper-redundant manipulators with pre-defined kinematic and dynamic constraints. The optimal trajectory planning uses fifth order B-spline functions to represent the Cartesian coordinates of the end-effector and angles of the redundant links. The actuator torques are considered for the formulation of the cost func...
